I have so many reasons to celebrate and be thankful for today (and in general). Today is my brother's 29th birthday! It is also the day I get to blog about my very first client! Amanda and I used to work together at the job I left to start EventChic. Just as I was making plans for my big move she was making plans for her big day. She had her vision: burlap, lace, candles, mason jars, lanterns, and baby's breath. Now me being the flower lover that I am, I said ever so sensitively I'm sure, "Baby's breath? That's it? Are you sure? What about..." Nope, she is not a flower lover and knew she wanted rustic decor in an urban setting. In other words, she was one of the first brides to usher in that trend. So for that I give her mad props. So what did she need me for? Well, I had just finished my floral design courses and was talking about including that in my service offerings and she asked if I would be willing to execute her baby's breath vision. Thus, I gained my fist client!
Amanda and Ryan got engaged June 2011 and were married on June 16, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. They selected Event1013 as their reception site for its exposed brick, beams, concrete floors, and lots of places to put candles. In other words, the perfect urban spot that could be a little bit country, too. Cheers!
